On June 7, a team of editors from the Legal Channel of Guangzhou Broadcasting Network visited Guangdong Honour Chen Law Firm, the first Guangdong-Hong Kong joint law firm in Yuexiu District, to discuss publicity work related to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the production of a micro-film about cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland lawyers in the Greater Bay Area. The discussion was attended by Lawyer Tong Jianhua, Director of Honour Law Firm, Lawyer Xu Jianwen, Secretary of the Party Branch, and Lawyer Liu Wei of the joint firm.
The editors learned about the different legal systems in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, the demeanor of Greater Bay Area lawyers in cross-border services, and the differences in legal practices. They also gained an in-depth understanding of specific cases involving Hong Kong and Macao legal affairs handled by Honour Law Firm as the first Guangdong-Hong Kong joint law firm in Yuexiu District. They noted that many of these cases could serve as high-quality materials for scriptwriting, ultimately transforming into epoch-making film and television content to set a benchmark for promoting the construction of the rule of law in the Greater Bay Area.
Director Tong Jianhua welcomed the editors from the Legal Channel and highlighted the operational model of the joint firm and the significant meaning and role of establishing a joint firm for handling Hong Kong-related legal affairs. He stated that a Guangdong-Hong Kong legal joint firm refers to a mechanism where Hong Kong lawyers and Guangdong lawyers cooperate to provide legal services in specific fields. Under the premise of complying with their respective legal professional regulations and laws, both sides can jointly carry out services involving legal affairs of both regions, including litigation, arbitration, intellectual property, corporate legal affairs, etc. Lawyers from both sides can divide work and cooperate according to the needs of specific cases to jointly provide high-quality legal services to clients. Meanwhile, the establishment of a Guangdong-Hong Kong legal joint firm also promotes exchanges and mutual learning between lawyers from both regions.

Director Tong Jianhua, the chief partner, was highly praised by the Legal Channel team for his experience in running a law firm in Hong Kong. With over 30 years of practice, Lawyer Tong serves as an arbitrator for multiple arbitration institutions and holds dozens of social positions, including a consulting expert on judicial supervision for the Standing Committee of the 12th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress. In 1998, Lawyer Tong handled the internationally renowned "9810 Zhang Ziqiang Gang Case" as the chief defense lawyer for Zhang Ziqiang, receiving an award from the All China Lawyers Association.
